Casual Weekend Vibes in Denim

All photos  by Raymond Manalo
Denim from JAG Jeans
Styled with pieces from Horseshoe Boutique

Since I was little, my favorite thing to do on a grey drizzly PNW day has been to take the ferry. There's something so nostalgic about it for me and when I woke up to rain the morning Raymond and I were going to shoot, I knew a little trip on my favorite boat was in order.
The ride is always filled with anticipation and I knew I wanted to be nice and warm as we braved the wind and chill. This is without a doubt my favorite and coziest outfit. JAG jeans makes the most comfortable denim I have ever worn and the Sheridan Skinny is the perfect everyday jean. I paired it with a slouchy white tee, and the coziest BB Dakota sweater. I topped it off with a hat and black booties.

When we arrived, we decided to take a little stroll in the trees, and I wanted something I could run around the forest in. I paired the Rochelle Slim Ankle pant in camo with an sage knit sweater by Jack. I cuffed the bottom of the jeans and threw on some black ankle boots to complete this easy knock around look.
We found a super cool little lighthouse that just exuded moodiness and I knew I wanted to edge my outfit up a little. These jeans are awesome because they were SO comfortable and literally felt like yoga pants. Not one single piece of metal will be found on them... that's right, they are pull on jeans! I got them in the dark wash and paired it with a slouchy white tee and the most incredible faux leather jacket from Love Token. I don't think I have ever worn a jacket that gave me so much attitude. And the faux fur is actually removable, so if you want to pair the fur with another jacket OR if you're just not feeling the fur, you can just detach it.
We then headed to the beach and found one of THE COOLEST driftwood forts I have ever come across.
For a little bit of pizzaz I threw on a black slip dress and the Dixie Jacket. The collarless denim jacket is a subtle modern take on the classic. It's part biker chick, part country girl and 100% comfortable.
Before I knew it, it was time to head home. The ride back is usually a time of reflection for me. So thankful to live in such a beautiful place where adventure is never far and amazing people are always willing to join in.
